Policy Debate

The Policy Debate Camp will prepare students to participate and be successful in competitive debate through a combination of instruction and practice debates. Students will learn about the 2011-2012 topic, Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its transportation infrastructure investment in the United States. Students will learn how to give constructive speeches, effective cross-examinations, speak more persuasively, and give final rebuttals. More important that instruction, students will have the ability to debate and receive feedback from a number of different people. This will help students as they can work on the skills necessary to become successful debaters.

This Camp is appropriate for students of all ages, but especially rising 9th-12th graders.
